Lacie Cumberland is a lifelong student and scholar who has spent her adult life devouring books and exploring museums. She is a deeply engaged citizen who believes that learning should be a right, not a privilege. She sees the lack of books and the erosion of reading-comprehension standards as a threat to every child’s future, and she will fight to bring back robust literacy programs, ample library resources, and evidence-based curricula that make reading a core focus of every school. Through her campaign she pledges to bring a scholar’s curiosity, a citizen’s vigilance, and a guardian’s care to the Ray-Pec school board, ensuring that every student can thrive, feel safe, and love going to school.
